In our generation, i can say, we dress to impress. We expirement on things that others might think to be absurd or over the top.
Accessories are the surest way to make a fashion statement. Accessories though, are not limited to earrings, necklaces and shoes. Hair ornaments, hats or brooch belts can also complete a simple outfit and sometimes even serve as a main accent that pulls the whole look together.

Nowadays, especially in countries with cold climates, people wear scarfs to protect themselves from the cold weather but here in the Philippines where we don't have snow you can see most people wearing scarfs, not because they needed to but they accessorize their outfits with fashionable scarfs! Yes, it's a sure hit here in our country. Scarf prices differ according to the materials used in the scarf but most people invest in this kind of trend. It is your choice if you want to dress up or dress down as long as you're comfortable with yourself and you can carry yourself well whatever it is that you are wearing.

“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 5:10-11

Why do girls have this crazy fascination about the color pink? i was really fascinated by this shade when i was a teenager and most of my things were pink, even the singer Pink became my favorite... Now, my child loves this color and she came to a point where she won't wear her clothes unless it's pink, all the toys the she picks out are mostly pink.

Pink was first recorded in the 17th century, it is a combination of red and white but other shade of pink may be combinations of magenta and white, orange and white and rose and white.
the color stands for beauty, grace and goodness (no wonder girls go gaga for pink!) Most people think of pink as a feminine, delicate color. Pink denotes charm and romance.

Language of Pink: The use of pink in familiar phrases can help a designer see how their color of choice might be perceived by others — both the positive and negative aspects.

Good pink

  • In the pink - healthy
  • Tickled pink - happy, content
  • Pink collar - female office worker (sometimes used in a derogatory manner)
Bad or neutral pink
  • Pink collar - female office worker (sometimes used in a derogatory manner to imply low person on the office totem pole)
  • Pink - cut, notch, or make a zigzag

Pink Words: These words are synonymous with pink or represent various shades of the color pink.

Salmon, coral, hot pink, fuschia, blush, flesh, flush, fuchsia, rose

I can say that i still like pink but now that i'm more of a mature person i opt for more earthly colors so i guess i passed down to my daughter something that i once used to love!

My favorite time of the year is fast approaching. After a yearlong of having some rift with my only sister, i think this christmas will be on my most memorable christmas list (maybe it'll be on the top of the list).

We celebrate christmas according to our traditions and cultures, and i would like to share to you how we do it here in the Philippines, we have Simbang Gabi or Misa de Gallo (a spanish word for "midnight mass "or "rooster's mass"). Simbang gabi or Misa de Gallo lasts up to nine days, it'll start at the dawn of Dec. 16 and will end on Dec. 24. Simbang gabi or Misa de Gallo is one tradition of the Filipino people in accordance to the birth of Christ, some people also believe that if you finish the whole 9 days of Simbang gabi, you can make a wish. One thing that makes Simbang Gabi and Misa de Gallo so special aside from hearing the mass and showing your devotions to God and the Blessed Mary is that when the mass is over you can find food stalls outside the church selling traditional filipino foods like puto bumbong ( a rice pasty with purple coloring grated with coconut and brown sugar), my personal favorite, bibingka ( flour and egg cakes cooked on top and under ), tsokolate (hot cocoa), salabat ( ginger tea).

Thinking about Christmas gives me warm feeling inside, i just wish everyone to have a wonderful yuletide season and that whatever traditions and cultures we observe, let's not forget the people around us who is not fortunate enough, it's time for us to give and share, Christmas is the time of sharing and giving....

Welcome to my blog! The Blogger's Delight. Well, it was really a decision that i had to think thoroughly because of my schedule but i came to realization that i really want to try something new. When i was a kid, i dream of being a writer but then as i grew older i had different priorities to fulfill. I guess it's time for me to pursue that dream (i hope i really can stick up to it, fingers crossed)

Anyhow, when i was decided to do it, i had some options, i can access the internet and look for resources to help me get started but then i stumbled through my former classmate, Miss Nova Salas' blog and i thought, hey, maybe, i can ask her for some help instead, which she gladly obliged! thanks for that, mate!

Now, I am faced with the question, What will i cater the public? i want my blog to be something informative, fun and entertaining. I think this is the most challenging part in having a blog and i surely will do my best to keep up with the things that i want and with what the readers want.

Thanks for taking time to read.

xoxo,
NESS
